Mattr (Shawflex), a leader in providing a wide range of specialized parts to its customers, relied on a legacy VBA-based configurator for generating quotes and calculating prices. This legacy system had become outdated, difficult to maintain, and limited in scalability.
The configurator was critical for both the engineering and sales teams to compute complex pricing logic and part-specific calculations. However, the old system lacked flexibility, modern UI capabilities, and integration potential with other tools. Additionally, Mattr required a reliable method to validate results between the old and new systems during the transition phase, ensuring calculation accuracy and maintaining operational confidence.
Our Approach
We replaced Mattr’s legacy VBA configurator with a modern, scalable React-based configurator designed for flexibility, maintainability, and improved user experience. Our process included extensive collaboration with both the engineering and sales teams to refine requirements and introduce new capabilities.
